Mr. Hemmarat Wachirahatthapong, the Director of BUU Library, led a team of staff members to serve as trainers in the “Training Program for Assistant Librarians and Book Repair at Chonburi Women’s Correctional Institution 2026,” held on March 9–10, 2026. The program included demonstrations and hands-on training on reinforcing book covers to improve durability and extend the lifespan of books. Participants were also introduced to book classification, call number assignment, and proper shelving techniques. Inmates were given the opportunity to practice these skills in real situations. On this occasion, the Library also donated 105 digital information resources and a digital learning resource system for prisons, developed by the Library Director, to enhance inmates’ access to a wider range of information resources.
