"Bridging Wisdom Between Generations for Lifelong Learning and Sustainability" Project
Burapha University Library has initiated the project “Bridging Wisdom Between Generations for Lifelong Learning and Sustainability”, which supports the development of community libraries and provides academic services to society and local communities in alignment with the principles of sustainable development. The project aims to promote reading, lifelong learning, and the enhancement of quality of life, aligning with SDG 4 and SDG 17. As part of the initiative, a library has been established to promote reading and lifelong learning. Books relevant to the interests and needs of the elderly have been carefully selected, cataloged, and added to the automated library system (MyLib). Books are categorized and labeled by genre, and bookshelves have also been donated. Additionally, a book donation corner was created to collect various types of books for public distribution. These books were donated to the Senior Citizens’ Potential Development Center. The donation was officially handed over by Mrs. Chaweewan Chuenchop, Head of Health Promotion, on Thursday, 25 July 2024, at the Senior Citizens’ Potential Development Center, Saensuk Municipality, Chonburi Province.
