Personnel from Burapha University Library participated in Khanom Krok Alms-Giving Tradition Preservation Event 2024. This tradition, which has been passed down for over 100 years, originated from the local community coming together to make merit during the Buddhist Lent. Villagers would gather to prepare flour and cook khanom krok (Thai coconut-rice pancakes) to offer to monks. This year, more than 50 khanom krok stoves were brought in by local residents, and traditional stone mills were used to grind the flour. The authentic method of pouring the batter drew much interest from attendees. The event took place on 8 September 2024 at Wat Bot, Phanat Nikhom District, Chonburi Province.
